Remember

While some may see this contribution as trivial and maybe not even enough, I choose to see it as hope for those who felt loss.

What's more hopeful, to me, was that I found this eloquent article on The Washington Post which can often show much scrutiny in political matters.
President Obama continues the declaration that "Justice has been done," just four days after Bin Laden's death by stating, "When we say we will never forget, we mean it." While exclaiming these words, it was a wreath that he held in his hands to pay this remembrance. It is a circle, like a ring for a marriage vow. It is a circle, like that of life. It is a circle, yet it has a hole.
As the reporter said so, "There will always be a gaping hole where the twin towers of the World Trade Center once stood."
This, too, is true for the families that suffered the loss of a loved one on September 11th, 2001. It is almost ten years later, and the United States has accomplished some sense of achievement that we could show to the people.
If you have read my other excerpts, you may know I feel on the celebration of Bin Laden's death and our response to be had. It is also shared here. While some may mock this effort and see it as a political stunt to the whole ordeal that is still decorating every news channel, I choose to perceive peace through my filter of hope.
That even if this so fabricated effort is true, redemption is still here to take place.
The families of 9/11 may have their justice, but they do not have their loved one back.
Congruently, nor will Bin Laden's family and the others effected by the attack get their fathers back.
No matter the cause or the evil, it has been done.
So may we not proceed after such a monumental event with scrutiny and criticism, but rather hope.
Today is a new day. A new day to see hope. A new day to seek peace.

Everyday we are given choice. Choose to remember.

From the front of the Book to the very back, Remember is inscribed.
How will we remember?

"And about the matter you and I discussed—remember, the LORD is witness between you and me forever."
1 Samuel 20:23
